What is the best – FREE – WYSIWYG webpage creator?

Question by Kurt: What is the best – FREE – WYSIWYG webpage creator?
So in school, I’m taking a web page design class. I’d like to bring my skills back home, but I don’t have the program we use (Microsoft Expressions Web). I was hoping I could get a free WYSIWYG editor, but I don’t know which to choose! I’ve heard of NVU, Kompozer, HTML Kit, Visual Web Developer Express (though you can’t actually publish anything online with that one, apparently), and Bluefish. Are there any others worth looking at? Which one is the best? I have no idea. Any helpful insights would be very appreciated.
Ok, you might say I don’t really want it for the WYSIWYG. I just find that it’s easier when I can see what I’m doing at the same time as writing the code. If it does CSS for you also, that’s an area I’m not as good in, so that’s helpful. It creates some stuff on it’s own, and I find certain things easier in WYSIWYG editors. With that in mind…
