Q&A: what happened to frontpage in Vista?

Question by gwenwifar: what happened to frontpage in Vista?
or i guess the question really is, what decent web page editor can i use that is free and lets me access the code?

web pages are a hobby of mine and i am at that awkward stage where i get lost if i’m looking at pure code (say in notepad) without a visual that i can quickly refer to and make changes on, but much prefer to problem solve by going straight to the code. most editors i have used didn’t let me access the code, which is why i stuck with frontpage. anything similar out there?
actually, i tried Dreamweaver about a year ago (don’t know which version) and didn’t really like it much.

You should really consider upgrading to something a little more professional, such as Dreamweaver CS3. It gives you the option to create your page in a code view or a wysiwyg(what you see is what you get) editor. It has quite a few more options than Frontpage.
